About Catrin Söderdahl, Founder and Owner
I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden and started at an early age to enjoy making people more beautiful. My mother, sister and kinder garden teachers were my practice models in the early days. At the tender age of 16 I started my formal hairdressing training at a specialist academy and by 19 was working at a salon in Stockholm. My profession also allowed me to work in other countries such as Australia and Spain where I lived and worked from 2005 – 2013. From the beginning of 2013 I am now based in Stockholm, Sweden but still traveling regulary to Barcelona to do weddings, and when I’m not there my excellent team takes care of the Barcelona brides.
In 2006 I completed training in the art of make up and in that same year started to specialize in weddings, creating hairstyles and make up for the bride, her bridesmaids and other guests. That’s when I realized that I wanted to specialize in that particular area. It’s a great privilege to create something beautiful in terms of both hairstyling and makeup on one of the most important events in a woman’s life and to share the experience with them.
This is my passion and it would be a pleasure to be a part of your special wedding day and to make you look Absolutely Gorgeous!

Vem är Catrin Söderdahl?
Jag växte upp i Stockholm, och började tidigt att tycka om att göra människor vackrare. Jag använde min mor, syster och dagis lärare som mina modeller i början, och de ställde mer an gärna upp. Vid 16 ars ålder började jag min frisör utbildning på Nacka Gymnasium, och kände redan där att jag älskade att göra uppsättningar. Mitt yrke fick mig också resa och arbeta i andra länder som Australien och Spanien där jag har bodde och arbetade från 2000 – 2013. Från och med 2013 kommer min bas att bli min hemstad Stockholm, så från och med då finns Absolutely Gorgeous BCN/STHLM både i Stockholm och Barcelona.
Under 2006 genomgick jag en utbildning i make up och samma år började jag att specialisera mig på att skapa frisyrer och make up för brudar, hennes tärnor och andra gäster. Jag tycker det är ett stort privilegium att få arbeta med att skapa något vackert med både frisyr och make up på en av de viktigaste händelserna i en kvinnas liv.
Det här är min passion och det skulle vara ett stort nöje att få vara en del av din stora dag och göra dig Absolutely Gorgeous!

Cecilia, originally from Sweden has been in the hairdressing industry for more then 16 years. She has spent 10 of them in Barcelona. Within this time she has experienced everything, from teaching to making and styling wigs! Cecilia has been working with Catrin for many years both in the same salon and collaborating with weddings. For her, wedding hair is the most rewarding work by far. It gives her a huge buzz to make a bride feel even happier for the big day.

Malin, originally from Sweden has been living in Spain for more than 10 years. Malin did her makeup training a the International Beauty School of Sweden and became a hairdresser at Cebado School in Barcelona. Esther is a professional hair & make up artist, providing beauty services for fashion events and selected weddings. Esther has now returned to her home town Barcelona after gathering 5 years of international experience from London. Through her passion for make-up and the desire to make others look more beautiful, she has dedicated her career to every aspect of hair and beauty. At the age of 16 she studied beauty, specalizing in natural nails and at the age of 19 she graduated as a hairdresser. Esther is multi-lingual (fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English) and adds a touch of luxury and style to Absolutely Gorgeous BCN team.
